Simon’s was established in 1911 by Abraham Simon in Franklin, MA. Since then 5 generations of the Simon family have owned the business. Today you will find Kirk (4th generation) and Jared (5th generation) in the store helping customers. Always feel free to say hello or let us know when something is not right, we are always here to help.

We understand the craft of quality furniture making. We curate the furniture in our store to offer the best value. Low quality furniture that doesn’t hold up is no value, and overpriced furniture with no substance is no value either. You won’t find that in our store.
ABOUT KIRK
Kirk has been in the furniture business for over 40 years, visiting factories and meeting the artisans who craft the furniture we sell. In an era of disposable furniture that may look good on the outside, Kirk knows it’s what is inside that counts. When choosing furniture to sell in our store we inspect the frames, the springs, the cushioning, the drawers; all the things you can’t see but make all the difference in the comfort and quality year after year.
ABOUT JARED
Jared has been at the store since a child, following his father and grandfather around learning their values. In 2015 he graduated from High Point University, located in the furniture capital of the world. While in school he took classes in furniture design and manufacturing; learning the craft, visiting factories and meeting those who craft the furniture we sell. The personal relationships gained and the appreciation for quality crafted furniture guides how we pick products featured in store.
COMPANY HISTORY
1911 – Abraham Simon opens his first store in downtown Franklin
1927 – David Simon, Abraham’s son builds a new store is downtown Franklin
1955 - Abraham’s grandson, George Simon joins the business representing the 3rd generation
1982 – Kirk Simon, George’s son joins the business representing the 4th generation
1993 – Kirk and George expand the showroom, doubling its size and move the entrance to 8 Summer Street
1998 – Kirk and George continue to expand adding additional warehousing and showroom space
2003 – Simon’s builds an 18,000 sqft state of the art distribution center located at 80 Earls Way in Franklin. At the same time the showroom was expanded by another 10,000 sqft to reach today’s vast 40,000 sqft size and the original showroom was renovated.
2015 – Jared Simon, Kirk’s son, joins the business representing the 5th generation
2021 – Simon’s celebrates our 110th year in business, family owned by 5 generations of the Simon family.
